It's been a long, long while.
For starters, that's a good line of a Peter Mayer song.
I've been away from the blog world for awhile.
Recently, I've moved; I've continued to adjust to new work, and... well, that's enough.
Oh, and just tonight, my new modem was installed. That is a story in itself.
Also had to take a few weeks away from the studio inbetween classes. That was hard.
I'm finally back and classes have begun. I also had a birthday recently, and on my birthday, I glazed these pieces that came out of the kiln just this past Saturday.
I like the new designs I'm using. I was really surprised at the lack of reduction on several of the pieces. All have spotted shino glaze as a base with some wax resist and some alfred's blue glaze and a bit of soda ash and granulated rutile.

Those shinos you use are so warm and beautiful and I like that white at the top of the yunomi too. So glad you are all moved and back to your clay, looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful work and hearing about the raku.
Happy Birthday, I just remembered you said that in your post I read late last night. I think I already said Happy Birthday on facebook, but my memory is overloaded, so if not Happy Birthday again.
First: Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed it.
Second: I like the lighter reduction you got on that yunomi since I like variation in the shino. Too often my shinos are monochromatic.
