Which gallery are these from? Answer later in the post.
Julie Covington's pottery. These pics are not good. Check out here for more of her work. Simply beautiful!
Jennifer Mecca's pottery. Once again the picture isn't good. I hesitated from even taking any pictures because I was in a gallery. If you don't know her pottery, you can find out more here or on facebook.
Lark & Key Gallery! Loved my first visit there. Could have easily spent thousands of dollars on pottery. I didn't even get a picture of some of the best pottery there- Tracey Broome's houses. Beautiful! Better pics here. Tracey, please forgive me for not getting a pic of your pottery; it would've been a bad picture anyway. :( While I was in Charlotte, I stopped by Clayworks and saw Adrienne. It was great to chat with her. I told her I needed weights for my triple beam scale and she knew of an equipment supply place in Charlotte. She called and I picked these two used ones up for $25. :) Saved about $10 on the lowest price I could find online.
See Adrienne's pots on the top shelf? She took me on a tour of the studio. Hadn't changed much since I left almost a year ago. Gosh, I miss that place and people.
Here are some of the supplies they use in glazing. This will give me ideas!
Hydrometer reading chart for cone 5 glazes.
glaze chart for cone 5 glazes at Clayworks in Charlotte, NC.
The bluegrass one on the right is one I will test and maybe even use.... (cone 5).
This afternoon it was back to reality. The vase on the right may or may not last; not sure I like it enough. I love having my own studio, but miss the community at Clayworks and Adrienne is one of the best teachers there is. So helpful and humble too.
Tomorrow I'll etch on bowls- all preparing for a bisque firing this weekend. Yes, I am procrastinating in the mixing of test glazes. Soon, soon! It helps that I have Labor Day off, which is next week.
I'm blessed.

Lark and Key is a truly beautiful gallery. I agree with you on the photography, when I take pictures there they never look as good as the gallery really looks in person. Plus, I'm so busy looking at all the amazing work, I forget to take pics! And yes, I too miss Clayworks, that glaze chart is the same one that was there when I took classed in 2003! Becky's Blue! I loved that glaze!!! I still have a bowl that my cat uses glazed with that blue. So glad you took a photo of that chart, what a nice walk down memory lane :)
I loved all the cups, esp. the cup far right 3rd from the bottom!
Tracey- same glaze charts- wow! I liked becky's blue too, yet it's so unpredictable at times.
Gary- Agreed. that's Gay Smith's mug. www.gertrudegrahamsmith.com
