Surprised

Yesterday began as a typical day in the studio at the wheel (iced coffee near the wheel, ipod playing, mackenzie piece in the background for encouragement) and I was surprised by the result! Using new clay helped alot too. I'm also reading Clary Illian's book, 'A Potter's Workbook' that was highly recommended to me by my instructor Greg. So, I'm encouraged... how I wish everyday included time in the studio. Now, I'm on the lookout for what I can use to put on the outside for texture of other pieces. I never ever thought I could make something like this.... it's one of my favorites to date.
